Step right up friends and fam–get ready to be dazzled and delighted Under the Big Top!

Get ready for some circus magic, folks–expect a night of wonder and whimsy with captivating circus acts and performances, with special thanks to presenting sponsors C.H. Douglas & Gray Wealth Management and Faegre Drinker.

And what’s a circus without delicious treats and delectable delights? Sliders, kabobs, mac & cheese, flatbreads, & delicious desserts abound (including scrumptious vegan & vegetarian options). And complimentary beverages, including signature cocktails & mocktails, of course!

But wait, there’s more! Trinity Haven’s Homecoming: Under the Big Top isn’t just about entertainment—it’s also about making a difference! Every dollar raised helps Trinity Haven support LGBTQ+ young people with housing options and supportive services.

Dress in fun, comfortable attire (or wear a ringleader outfit or ball gown if you prefer). Comfort is critical, but costumes are encouraged, too!

• When: Saturday, September 7, 6-10pm
• Where: Crane Bay Event Center, 551 W. Merrill St. Crane Bay directions
• Parking: Just south of the event center, accessible from W. Merrill St.
• Attire: Whatever makes you feel fancy and fun! We’ve heard that some will be wearing circus-inspired costumes. Some will be in cocktail dresses/suits. Others in business casual or jeans. We truly don’t care, as long as you’re there!
• Food: Heavy hors d’oeuvres (enough for a meal) & scrumptious desserts
• Drinks: Complimentary water, soda, wine, beer, as well as signature cocktails & mocktails; cash bar for other beverages your heart desires
• What to bring: cash or card for the bar (if you need it); cash to tip our drag performers (becuase that’s part of the fun!); a generous heart – it is a fundraiser, after all!
• Schedule:
  6:00-7:30  Food and drink, aerialist and circus performers, VIP area for sponsors, and general merriment!
  7:30-8:30  A special curated program featuring local talent and Trinity Haven’s mission at work.
  8:30-9:00  Drag and other performers close out the program.
  9:00-10:00  Dancing and more merriment for all!

Why support Trinity Haven and LGBTQ+ young people?

On April 30th, 2021, Trinity Haven opened two programs for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing housing instability here in Indiana. First, our Host Homes Program, which matches young adults ages 18-24 with volunteer hosts who have a little extra room in their home and in their hearts. Young people typically stay for approximately six months, though it can be longer for some. Second, in our flagship Transitional Living Program in our gorgeous home in the Meridian-Fall Creek neighborhood, young people ages 18-24 can live for up to two years as they create community together and learn how to navigate life as independent, young adults.

In the current climate of hateful legislation being proposed here in Indiana and across the country, it is an unsettling time, to say the least. It’s certainly challenging enough for the young LGBTQ+ folks that Trinity Haven serves to move into independent and safe adulthood; but having to navigate the efforts to silence and make invisible LGBTQ+ people, particularly youth who are transgender, makse that feel almost impossible. We need your help now more than ever to take a stand against this waive of ignorance and hatred sweeping our country by showing up for LGBTQ+ young people right here in Indiana.
