August 2, 2021
Indy Pride is excited to announce that Jeremy Turner has joined our leadership team as an interim executive director!

Jeremy will help Indy Pride advance community and business partnerships, manage day-to-day operations of Indy Pride, and will also share his insights from his years of experience working in our community to assist our team in finding our next long-term executive director.

Jeremy shared, “As a former President of Indy Pride’s board of directors, it is a pleasure to assist in providing administrative oversight during this time of transition. Chris Handberg and I have shared a long friendship and I congratulate him on his outstanding tenure as Indy Pride’s first executive director. I am honored to serve in this temporary capacity and look forward to passing the torch to the new executive director when the board has completed the search.”

“Please keep in mind that we have much work to accomplish in the interim and it will be as important as ever to have the robust support of our community. Our future is bright, and we will continue to push the boundaries necessary to make Indy Pride the best possible version of what it can be,” he added.

Indy Pride Board President Tanner Alexander stated, “Jeremey Turner brought the 2019 Indy Pride parade to life—that’s no easy feat! His proven leadership, successful event execution and dedication to Indy Pride as well as the well-being of the LGBTQIA+ community make him an excellent interim executive director. The board and I are very excited to work with Jeremy!”

Please help us welcome Jeremy to our team.
