Indy Pride Fest, The Cadillac Barbie Pride Parade, and all our Events would not be successful without the hard work and dedication of our volunteer Festival Committee! We depend on people like you, those who want to give back and serve our community! Each role involves some time commitment, but more importantly, we value your input, enthusiasm, and creativity to make Indy Pride a success. Leadership Team
Festival Director-The Festival Director will oversee the planning of Indy Pride Fest and assist managers to ensure a successful event. The Festival Director will communicate regularly with the Executive Director and will be asked to attend meetings with the city, neighborhood associations, and other entities. During the festival, the festival director will coordinate assistant directors, managers, and other volunteers to ensure the success of everyone involved.
Assistant Festival Director-The Assistant Festival Director will work closely with the Festival Director and Leadership Team on the planning and execution of Indy Pride Fest. Assistant Director positions available in the following areas: Entertainment, Events, Festival, and Parade.
Parade Director-The Parade Director will oversee the planning of the parade and assist the parade managers to ensure a successful parade. The Parade Director will communicate regularly with the Festival and Executive Director. They will from time to time be asked to attend meetings with the city, neighborhood associations, merchant associations and any other entities that would affect or be affected by the Parade.
Assistant Parade Director-The Assistant Parade Director will work closely with the Parade Director and Leadership Team on the planning and execution of the parade.
Entertainment Director-The Entertainment Director will oversee all entertainment for the Festival and Events. They will work with event managers to ensure we are providing the best entertainment experience possible.
Assistant Entertainment Director-The Assistant Entertainment Director will work closely with the Festival Director and Leadership Team on the planning and execution of Indy Pride Fest and Events.
Events Director-The Festival Events Director will coordinate the events throughout the week and will serve as a touch point for each of those managers. They will ensure that volunteers, marketing and logistic needs are being communicated to the correct people.
Assistant Events Director-The Assistant Events Director will work closely with the Events Director and Leadership Team on the planning and execution of Indy Pride Events.
Logistics Director-The Logistics Director will coordinate with equipment/staffing vendors to ensure needs are met. They and their team will work with the Festival and Event Directors/Managers to coordinate set-up/tear-down of all logistical needs for the parade, festival, and events.
Volunteer Director-The Volunteer Director will work with all aspects of the festival and events to assure that all areas have the necessary volunteers for each event and area. They will oversee and work with the Parade Volunteer Manager and the Events Volunteer Manager to make sure all volunteer needs are met. The Volunteer Director with a team will staff the volunteer check-in and will manage the personnel needs for the day.
Festival Committee
Accessibility Manager-The Accessibility Manager will work with all aspects of the festival and events to ensure that all events and areas of the festival are as accessible as they can be. They will work with a team of people to monitor each event and assist with any issues they can that involve accessibility.
Event Managers-Event managers will work with the Leadership Team to plan, organize, and execute the following events: Ambassadors Contest, Rainbow 5k, Hoosier 250, Pet Pride, Interfaith Service, Community Picnic, Bat N Rouge, Deaf Pride, Transglam, Music and Movie Night, Girl Pride, and Queer Youth Night.
Family Fun Zone Manager-FFZ Manager will work with the leadership team and volunteers to create a unique experience in the Family Fun Zone.
Vendor Manager-The Vendor Manager will maintain communication with all vendors for the festival. They will work with their team to create a positive experience and an easy check-in process.
