We wanted to reach out to offer you some assurance about where we are with planning our annual Pride Month events including the Indy Pride Parade and Indy Pride Festival.
We are working with the City of Indianapolis and the Indiana State Department of Health to monitor the state of our region as it relates to public health.
Our Indy Pride team is doing everything that we can to take precautions in our planning and, with the advice of these experts, we are still working hard and planning a fabulous month of celebration for our community.
We will continue to closely monitor the public health advisories through the coming weeks to ensure that we make the best decisions possible.
In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and each other! Many community members may…
– have special reasons to be very vigilant about quarantining themselves. Consider reaching out via phone or text, social media, or video chat to offer support and to make sure they don’t feel too isolated and alone.
– have trouble locating childcare for their children while schools are closed. Consider offering suggestions if you know of any options or offering support if you’re able.
– have trouble accessing community resources or being able to pay for food while some companies are issuing mandatory unpaid time off. Consider sharing your resources or donating to local resources like the Damien Center or the No Questions Asked Food Pantry. You can also reach out to [email protected] to make helpful donations.
Reach out to friends, family, and neighbors so we can take care of one another.
We will continue to keep you updated about Indy Pride event changes and look forward to a happy and healthy season of Pride Month events.
