CLEAR BAG POLICY
To ensure the safety and security of all attendees, Indy Pride WORD OF MOUTH: 2-Day Music Series will be enforcing a clear bag policy in compliance with federal safety guidelines. This policy will help expedite entry into the event and ensure a smooth, secure experience for all participants.
What You Can Bring:
– Clear Bags: Only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags will be allowed. Bags must not exceed the following size:
– 12” x 6” x 12” (standard clear bag size)
– Small Clutch Bags: Small clutch bags or wallets that do not exceed 4.5” x 6.5” are permitted. These must be clear or see-through to comply with safety standards.
– Diaper Bags: Parents with small children are allowed to bring a clear diaper bag. It must meet the same size requirements as other clear bags (12” x 6” x 12”) and may contain baby necessities.
**ALL items are subject to search by event security.
What You Cannot Bring:
– Non-clear bags or backpacks (including backpacks with non-transparent compartments)
– Purses larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
– Coolers, bags with compartments, or any bag that cannot be made entirely of clear material
– Any prohibited items such as weapons, alcohol, large umbrellas, or other items as outlined in the full event policy
How to Ensure Quick and Easy Entry:
– Make sure your bag complies with the size and material restrictions. If you’re carrying a non-clear bag, please leave it at home or in your vehicle.
– We encourage all guests to limit the number of items they bring to streamline the security screening process.
– For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, all bags will be subject to inspection upon entry.

Accessibility
If you have a caregiver, that caregiver must be admitted to the Indy Pride WORD OF MOUTH with purchase of a ticket. If you have any accommodation needs please let us know when buying your ticket. Accessibility is a top priority when planning Indy Pride events. This year, WORD OF MOUTH will feature an expanded ADA viewing area near the main stage, providing prime views of the stage and ASL interpreters. American Legion Mall offers numerous concrete sidewalks, ensuring accessibility to all areas of the event.
When purchasing your ticket, you’ll see an option for a GA ADA ticket. Selecting this option helps us estimate how many guests may need access to the ADA viewing area so we can ensure it’s appropriately sized and accessible for everyone. (Please note, purchasing a GA ADA ticket is not required to access the ADA viewing area, but it greatly aids our planning process.)

NOT ALLOWED
-NO Smoking or Vaping on American Legion grounds, including AVPs, MODs or Liquid to Refill Cartridges. If attendees choose to smoke, including e-cigarettes or vaping, you must get a pass-out and exit WORD OF MOUTH grounds. Pass-out tickets will allow you access to come back in at no additional cost.
-NO Drugs or Drug Paraphernalia
-NO Outside Alcohol
-NO Nudity – While we do not want to limit self-expression, the local laws need to be followed. We ask you to observe the simple rule of swimsuit covering. If you can wear it to a public pool you are good to go.
-NO Aerosol Products/Aerosol Cans (with exception of spray sunscreen)
-NO Bicycles, Skates, Scooters, Skateboards, Hoverboards or Segways
-NO Coolers (with the exception of medical needs)
-NO Pets – with the exception of service animals. We encourage you to check out Pet Pride for a very pet-friendly event on May 31. (Trust us: Your pet will love it!)

-NO Fireworks or Explosives
-NO Glass Containers
-NO Outside Food (with exception to medical needs) We encourage you to bring an empty, reusable water bottle to use at our complimentary water stations.
-NO Weapons of Any Kind, Pepper Spray or Mace
Medical Needs
Medically necessary items will be permitted after proper inspection at the gates. Attendees with medically necessary items should alert security personnel at the entry point.
Small Coolers for medical purposes only, no larger than 14″ x 9″ x 14″ will be allowed and are subject to inspection by security.
UNOPENED food items are allowed if needed for medical reasons i.e. diabetes, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, etc.
Personal Items = Personal Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your personal items, including the items left in unattended canopies and tents, including cabanas. You assume all risk of their loss or damage. Lost and Found will be located at the Indy Pride info tent.
No Unauthorized/Unregistered Vending of Any Kind
No Unauthorized Solicitations, Handbills, Sampling, Giveaways, posting of signs or placards on any surface. We welcome you to register as a Vendor next year.
Safety & Security
There will be medical assistance tents available within the park. Medical teams will also be roving the park offering help to those in need.
All attendees will be required to pass through security checkpoints before entering the event. This includes the use of walk-through metal detectors, wands and bag/personal item inspections.

Promotional videos and photos will be taken at all events, including the Indy Pride Parade, Celebration on the Circle and WORD OF MOUTH.
