Ballroom History and Culture Panel Discussion
Ballroom is a pillar in LGBTQ+ history and culture. It was created by Black and Latina trans women as creative spaces to dance, walk the runway, and compete for trophies and prizes.
Ballroom, historically and to this day, has continued to be a space for LGBTQ+ folks to build chosen families and communities through a passion for the art and shared identity.
Panelists will discuss Ballroom history and explore the Ballroom community here in Indianapolis, the Midwest, and nationwide.
Tune in on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. on Indy Pride’s Facebook Live to join the conversation.
