Statement of Purpose

Indy Pride, Inc. established an educational scholarship program to reward future and current students attending an accredited Indiana-based college, university or trade school who are making significant contributions to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, and Straight Ally (LGBTQ+) community through their academic pursuits.

Scholarship Process

Once the application is released, the applicant will have approximately 90 days to submit. After the deadline, the Scholarship Committee, made up of members of the Indy Pride Board of Directors and community volunteers, will meet to begin vetting the applications and to verify letters of recommendations and enrollment. The committee chair will then distribute the verified applications for evaluation to members of the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee will evaluate the applications and submit a recommendation to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will discuss the recommendations and decide which applicants will be awarded scholarships.
